The death of Alexei Navalny, the Russian opposition leader, has sparked significant debate and speculation. Navalny, who claimed to have been poisoned by the Kremlin, became a symbol of resistance against President Vladimir Putin. However, the circumstances surrounding his death are shrouded in complexity and intrigue. Western political leaders shunned Putin, openly denounced him and imposed sanctions on Russia! Except Trump, who remained skeptical!

A Tale of Poison and Politics

Navalny’s poisoning in 2020 sent shockwaves around the world. He fell ill on a flight from Tomsk to Moscow, leading to an emergency landing and his eventual transfer to a hospital in Germany. German labs later confirmed the presence of a nerve agent, Novichok, found on the rim of a water bottle from his hotel room. This discovery fueled accusations against the Russian government, with Navalny himself pointing the finger at President Vladimir Putin. A previously unknown became an overnight sensation. Later he was awarded a Nobel prize.

‘Traces of the poison were also found on one of Navalny’s bottles, which had previously been handed over to Berlin doctors.[74][75] Experts suggest that Navalny drank from it after he was poisoned, and left traces on it.[74][75] Navalny’s team suggested that he was possibly poisoned before leaving the hotel.’

This is the Billion $ question? Poison was found on one of the water bottle he drank from. The traces were found on the rim where he put his mouth! So who poisoned him while he was in his room? Where None of the other bottles were contaminated! How would anyone be able to guess which bottle he was going to drink from?

Personal Parallels

This story reminds me of a personal experience involving a friend’s aunt, who staged a poisoning to manipulate her renowned surgeon son’s marriage decision. Coming from a renowned family of doctors, when the son wouldn’t listen to her request, she drank a controlled amount of poison  in front of him. It was enough poison to scare him but not to kill her. But it could still be identified in the blood report! The incident was meticulously planned, with her doctor brother ensuring the poison’s effects were just right. Her manipulative Oscar winning performance with her captivated audience gave her her desired results!! Her son complied with her wishes, ditched the unsuitable girlfriend and married the girl approved by his mother and family, highlighting how personal vendettas can drive people to extreme measures. These steps or similar ones are not uncommonly taken by the matriarchs or patriarchs of established families to safeguard the bloodline of their progeny when their offspring crosses the line in matters of the heart! Especially when direct confrontation fails! Taking poison is rare but the target for this manipulatin was an established surgeon and his totally unsuitable girlfriend was a nurse, so the stage had to be set realistically so as not to backfire

A healthy aunt of mine stayed in the hospital under guise of near death so her out of state living renowned architect son, who wanted to marry his totally unsuitable girlfriend, would return. While his mother was in her deathbed, her devoted son was never allowed to leave her side and various suitable girls were “visiting” or paraded in front of him with their aunt or relative chaperoning. These were supposedly her friends visiting the dying mother! They brought a suitable girl with them. The friends would talk privately with the aunt, so the girls were left with him till he fell for one of the approved girls. And the dying mother miraculously recovered and was alive. She danced to her heart’s content at the wedding. Only her new daughter in law saved her from the jaws of death! For these kinds of dramas the stage setting and managing need to be meticulously prepared so that there are no loopholes. It requires skillful manipulation so it does not back fireAnd setting and managing the stage, often subtly checking for every possible loophole, is not uncommon in real life in established scheming families!

What could the loophole be in Navalny’s case? He did not expect his devoted supporters would send the contents of his room for lab testing? Fortunately for him, the media needs to sensationalize and conveniently did not care to look at the details? It was more interesting to make Putin out as a villain than to dig for the truth. Western leaders, temporary and revolving as per their term, are always ready to condemn Putin and jealous of his permanency as leader? Without realizing there is massive difference between Russia and western countries?

The Skeptic’s View

Given these personal experiences, it’s natural to approach Navalny’s case with a degree of skepticism. Traces of poison were only found on the tip of one bottle in his room. There was no poison inside the bottle, or in the coffee he drank at the airport. The bottle was found by his team and sent along with other items to test, which tested negative, raising questions about the narrative. Could it be that Navalny’s own team, in their vigilance, inadvertently contributed to the story’s complexity? The parallels between personal and political manipulations are striking, reminding us that human behavior often follows similar patterns, regardless of scale, place or time.

The Broader Implications

Navalny’s case is not just about one man’s struggle to attain power! It reflects the broader dynamics of political power, personal vendettas, and the lengths to which individuals will go to achieve their goals. The international outcry and subsequent sanctions against Russia highlight the geopolitical stakes involved. Yet, amidst the political maneuvering, the human element remains central. Navalny’s story, like many others, is a reminder of the personal costs of political battles. It is also reminiscent of family battles to guard bloodline!

The death of Alexei Navalny, the Russian opposition leader, has sparked significant debate and speculation. The Wall Street Journal Report

According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, U.S. intelligence agencies have concluded that Putin likely did not order Navalny’s death.

The assessment is based on a range of information including classified intelligence and public facts.

Conclusion

In a world where truth is often obscured by layers of deception, it’s crucial to approach stories with a critical mind. The case of Alexei Navalny, much like personal experiences of manipulation, underscores the complexity of human behavior and the intricate web of motivations that drive it. By unraveling these layers, we can better understand the true nature of political deception and the human stories at its core.
